THE Police Regional Office - Davao Region (PRO-Davao) seized over 6.5 kilograms of suspected shabu, valued at approximately P44.45 million, in an anti-drug operation at Oakwood Residence, Purok 2, Barangay New Visayas, Panabo City, on Saturday morning, February 15, 2025.
The operation led to the arrest of two high-profile drug suspects, both listed as High-Value Individuals (HVI) on the region’s priority drug watchlist.
The suspects, ranked as the region’s top 1 and top 3 drug personalities, are now in the custody of the Panabo City Police Station (CPS) and the Davao Norte Police Provincial Office (DNPPO). Authorities are preparing charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Confiscated during the operation were six zip-sealed plastic bags and eight plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, a genuine P1,000 bill, 199 machine copies of the same denomination, and 200 machine copies of P500 bills.
Also seized were an Infinix smartphone, a weighing scale, and a gray plastic container.
PRO-Davao regional director Police Brigadier General Leon Victor Z. Rosete commended the operation and issued a stern warning to drug syndicates.
"We will not waver in our fight against illegal drugs," he declared. "We will be relentless in our pursuit of those who threaten the safety and future of the people in the community, especially in the Davao Region." DEF
