AS THE City Government of Davao continues to strengthen the safety and security of educational facilities following active shooting incidents in neighboring provinces, the local government, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), in coordination with the Department of Education (DepEd), is providing psychosocial support programs for students who may need assistance.
This is to ensure that the overall welfare and well-being of students, including their mental health and psychosocial needs are being prioritized and met.
The DepEd offers psychosocial support services for students who may require assistance, while the CSWDO has a specialized team that provides psychosocial support and debriefing services.
Students who need support may access these services by reaching out to their teachers, advisers, guidance counselors, or social workers.
The City Government of Davao remains committed to working closely with its partners in the education sector to keep students and learners safe and secure.
