DAVAO City First District Rep. Paolo “Pulong” Duterte encouraged the victims of the New People’s Army and the drug addicts to speak up and show support for what former President Rodrigo Duterte stands for.

Panahon na para hindi na kayo manahimik. Panahon na para mailantad ang tunay na kalupitan at panlilinlang ng mga kriminal at rebeldeng grupo na patuloy na sumisira sa ating lipunan,” he said in his statement on Monday, June 9, 2025.

(It's time for you not to remain silent. It's time to expose the true cruelty and deception of the criminal and rebel groups that continue to destroy our society.)

He stressed that the NPA is a terrorist organization and that they are not victims; they are the reason why thousands of Filipinos, whether soldiers, police officers, teachers, farmers, and the younger generation, have lost their lives, homes, and future.

Pulong said that instead of fighting for peace, the rebel groups are bringing violence, fear, and extorting the communities.

He added that alongside their campaign against illegal drugs, the fight against the NPA is the fight for the future of the next generation and the security of the Philippines.

“Makakaasa kayong kami ay handang makinig, magprotekta, at kumilos. Sama-sama nating ipaglaban ang isang Pilipinas na malaya sa droga, takot, at terorismo (You can count on us to listen, to prote t, and to act. Together, let us fight for a Philippines free from drugs, fear, and terrorism),” he said.

He expressed that the stories of the victims matter and that they are the true voice of the people, thus, they should not allow terrorists to twist their trust.

He said that this fight is not a task of one individual, but the fight of every Filipino who wants peace and justice.

Pulong is the eldest son of FPRRD, and this is his last term as First District congressman in Davao City. RGP
