

DAVAO DE ORO — Around P3.6 million in cash was carted away by unidentified robbers who also killed a bank security guard during a robbery at Purok 4, Barangay Poblacion, Compostela, specifically at Mabuhay LCL Commercial, at 8:54 a.m Monday, December 23, 2024.
The victim was identified as 24-year-old James Pamisaran Crucio, a security guard residing in Purok 8, Tamia, Compostela.
According to reports, the victim was with two other bank employees from the Compostela Branch, identified only as Jessa, a teller, and Erwin, a driver. They were at Mabuhay LCL Commercial to collect cash for deposit. However, as they exited the establishment, an unidentified armed individual appeared and immediately declared a holdup. The suspect also shot Crucio, which caused the victim’s instantaneous death.
“Pasakay na balik sa sakyanan ang teller ug si Crucio human nakuha ang kuwarta nga gi-deposit sa Mabuhay LCL apan kalit nga mitungha kadtong tulisan, iyang gipusil si Crucio dihang miaksiyon og hunat sa armas niini,” recounted Erwin, the driver.
A pedicab driver who witnessed the incident revealed that the robber had an accomplice waiting nearby. The accomplice served as backup and drove the white and blue Mio motorcycle used as the getaway vehicle.
The robbers successfully stole cash amounting to P3,672,270.00, along with the shotgun of the slain security guard.
In a follow-up report from the police, the shotgun of the slain security guard was found in another area within Barangay Poblacion. It was reportedly abandoned with traces of blood still visible.
Friends of the victim expressed their grief over his untimely death, describing him as a good person, hardworking, and a loving father.
The Crucio family is crying out for justice, hoping that the suspects responsible for the crime will not find peace of mind. DTV
