DAVAO CITY — The Securities and Exchange Commission - Davao Extension Office (SEC DavEO) is reminding all corporations under its jurisdiction to comply with the 2025 deadlines for the submission of Annual Financial Statements (AFS) and General Information Sheets (GIS), as prescribed by the SEC Main Office under Memorandum Circular No. 1, Series of 2025.
All submissions must be made online through the SEC Electronic Filing and Submission Tool (eFAST) at www.efast.sec.gov.ph. Other modes of filing, such as over-the-counter or courier submissions, will no longer be accepted.
With this year’s filings, corporations are also reminded to factor in the Commission’s Tax Identification Number (TIN) validation system, which was launched on March 17, 2025. Developed in partnership with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), the system automatically cross-checks submitted TINs with BIR records.
“Given this new validation requirement, the SEC Davao Extension Office strongly encourages all corporations to file early, even before the first day of their scheduled filing windows based on the last digit of their SEC registration or license number,” said SEC DavEO Director Atty. Katrina Ponco-Estares.
“Early submission ensures that filers will have sufficient time to address any online issues related to TIN mismatches or missing records. If a TIN cannot be verified, users must promptly update their information through the BIR’s Online Registration and Update System (ORUS) or by visiting the nearest BIR Revenue District Office, she added.
AFS submissions for corporations with fiscal years ending December 31, 2024, begin on May 2 and end on July 11, 2025. The GIS, on the other hand, must be submitted within 30 calendar days from the actual date of the annual stockholders’ or members’ meeting, or from the license anniversary date for foreign corporations.
