THE 10th Infantry Agila Division (10ID) rolls to a commanding 102-49 victory over the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Monday, February 6, 2023, during the AFP-PNP Invitation Basketball Cup held at the Davao City Recreation Center.
From the start of the 1st quarter, the effective lockdown zone defense of 10ID forced the PCG to miss highly contested jump-shots beyond the arc while 10ID's Capt. Lawrence Dagdag and Sgt. Neil Sabejon drains multiple top-of-key jump shots to balloon 10ID's lead to 54-20 at the half.
Meanwhile, at the start of the 3rd quarter, PCG continues to pile up its turnovers and miss several attempts beyond the arc. On the other hand, 10ID with their fast break plays and transition offense ended the quarter with a 76-35 lead.
In the last period, despite several turnovers, the 10ID continued its fast-paced offense to clinch their second straight win with Army Capt. Lawrence Dagdag named the player of the game with 14 points, two steals, one assist, and a block.
