DEFENDING champion Alorica inched closer to its title-retention bid after booking a seat in the semifinals of the ongoing Davao Inter-BPO League (DIBL) men's volleyball tournament.
Alorica ended the elimination round with a clean 6-0 slate after eliminating VXI Global, 23-15, 25-16, 25-16, last Sunday, July 29, at the Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) Gym.
Kent Cañete, Cris Balon and RJ Desierto combined for 33 points to tow the defending champion, which will face Teleperformance (2-4) in the semifinals of the event officiated by Balibolista De Dabaw.
The other semifinals match set Sunday will pit Awesome OS (5-1) and Ibex Global (4-2) at the RMC Gym.
