DAVAO City National High School (DCNHS) and Ateneo de Davao University (Addu) will renew their rivalry in the Kadayawan Rebisco Volleyball League Davao City Pre-Qualifying Leg set on August 12 to 14 at the Almendras Gym Davao City Recreation Center.
Coco Cuison of Balibolista de Dabaw bared this in the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at The Annex of SM City Davao on Thursday, July 25.
He said both teams played against each other last year and will likely be strong contenders for the title this year.
“Pero ang UM Tagum College ang nanalo sa regional finals in 2018,” he said, adding that the volleyfest will determine the top two qualifiers who will advance to the Southern Mindanao regional finals set in Tagum City on August 15 to 18 at Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex.
The top team in each bracket will receive P5,000 cash.
The regional champion, meanwhile, will represent Southern Mindanao in an all-expense paid trip to Manila for the national finals. The regional titlist will also receive six Mikasa volleyballs.
The event is also part of the 34th Kadayawan Sports Festival. (MLSA)
