The Davao Pride Basketball League (DPBL) is now on its fourth season for interschool competitions in Davao City.

Basketball Avenue coordinator Aldin Celi said in an interview that they are now reopening the league and other sports events two years after the pandemic.

“DPBL S4 will be held in Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) Petrogas Arena, partner ko kasi ang RMC, because they are my sponsors. All games are to be played in RMC, and these are Davao City teams only,” Celi said.

Some of the participating schools are the Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU), Holy Child College of Davao (HCCD), Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC), Philippine Women’s College (PWC), Davao City National High School (DCNHS), Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School (DRANHS), among other Davao City schools, with an age bracket of 15-19 years old.

“Quick season lang ito so one single round lang ito, a one single elimination round. Five teams per bracket, hinati ko sila for division one and division two. They will play four games each, so top four teams in the semi-finals and then diretso na sa finals,” Celi added.

Basketball Avenue also conducts other sports leagues and events not just in Davao City, but in the whole of Davao Region to introduce a new era of sports open for all ages.
