Go 3-point challenge

A DAVAO-based group supporting Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher "Bong" Go will hold a three-point shootout dubbed as "SAP Bong Go Three-Point Challenge" that will kick off on July 23 in Nabunturan, Compostela Valley.

The event is spearheaded by Compostela Valley governor Jayvee Tyron Uy and former governor Arturo "Chiongkee" Uy to urge Go to run for a Senate seat.

"This program was initiated by the Uys of Comval in cooperation with some private sectors supporters of SAP Go. We were encouraged to put up a program in a way to encourage him (Go) to serve the country through the Senate as we believe he has the potential leadership that could pave the way for a better Philippines, thus, there's no better way than facilitating a campaign through the sport he loves the most," program manager Kevin Tan, in an interview with Sun.Star Davao recently, said.

Aside from promoting SAP Go to run, the movement also advocates the anti-drug campaign of the Duterte administration.

"Ang theme na 'Bola, hindi Droga' ang sinusulong din namin dito," Tan added.

The free-registration three-point challenge, meanwhile, will go to different municipalities of the Davao region.

"It is not necessary that they are the best as long as they are interested to join the challenge. Of course being an innate shooter is an advantage," Tan said.

The winner will receive P5,000 and freebies from the organizers.

After Nabunturan, the three-point challenge will next stop in Mawab, Compostela Valley in August.
