JAY-AR "The Hitman" Inson scored a unanimous decision win over Australian Terry Tzouramanis last Sunday, July 15, in the Pacquiao-Matthysse "Fight of Champions" undercard at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Philippine welterweight champion of Team MP currently holds a 17-1 win-loss record following the hard-earned victory over four-time Victorian champion Tzouranamis (19-4-3).

This is Inson's third straight win after losing to African boxer Thulane Mbenge in 2017.

"Pasalamat kaayo mi sa Ginoo sa gihatag niya nga safety sa amoa. Dili lang ni para sa akoang pamilya kundi para pud sa tibook Pilipinas (I am thankful to God for keeping me safe. This is not just for my family but for all Filipinos)," Inson, a product of the Barangay Una Boxing Team of Davao del Norte during his amateur boxing years, said on his Facebook video.

Although Inson emerged the winner, he came out of the ring with a bruised face.

"Puro po ito tama sa ulo. Palagi kasi siyang yumayakap sa akin kaya natatamaan ako ng headbutts," he said.

Inson admitted that he was hurt during the fight.

"Nasaktan po ako. Inexpect ko din na magtatagal ang laban kasi matibay din siya at mas marami na siyang nilaro keysa sa akin," Inson said of the Aussie veteran.

He, however, promised to train harder and follow the footsteps of his idol and boss Senator Manny Pacquiao who stopped Matthysse in seventh round via technical knockout.

Inson's teammate Vincent Astrolabio, meanwhile, suffered a TKO defeat at the hands of Japanese Yuki Strong Kobayashi.
