KERT Palces nailed the Datba Weekly Tournament title Tuesday evening, February 11, after also winning the Saturday (February 8) tournament at SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center in Lanang, Davao City.
Palces, with a handicap of 22, garnered a total of 604 pinfalls after three games to beat Arthur John Galendez (11) who rolled 578 pins in the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba)-organized event.
Palces received P600 while Galendez took home P400.
The champion’s feat came on the heels of topping the Saturday bowlfest by hitting 624 pinfalls over Paul Palacio and Ian Ancheta who placed second and third, respectively.
Palacio (30) toppled 597 pins while Ancheta made 587 pinfalls.
Palces claimed P1,100 while Palacio and Ancheta settled for P700 and P400, respectively.
