ULENE Rule, who recently finished sixth in the 10th Cetba-NBT Open Tenpin Bowling Championship 2018 Open Masters Finals in Cebu, emerged champion in the Datba Weekly tournament held Saturday evening at the SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center.
Rule, whose handicap is 29, toppled a total of 598 pinfall after three games to outclass Uree Uy and Mike Aquiatan who placed second and third, respectively.
Uy, with 35 handicap, hit 573 pinfalls while Aquiatan, with a handicap of 25, garnered 566 pinfalls.
ABS-CBN anchor Paul Palacio came in close fourth, rolling 565 pins while Ivan Awid, who scored 557, was fifth in the event organized by the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association.
The top three bowlers received P800, P500 and P300.
A total of 19 players joined the weekend qualifying event that also staked a slot in the monthly finals.
