De Claro said that SSS has agreed in principle to coordinate and work with UnionDigital Bank in developing and implementing a micro-lending program for SSS members with a 15- to 90-day tenor, making it easier for overseas Filipinos to transact with SSS and transferring technology as SSS undergoes digitalization.
“Through our partnership with UnionDigital Bank, we look forward to further enhancing service delivery to all Filipino workers, service being our main thrust under this administration. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) shall be prepared toward this goal,” De Claro explained.
For his part, Mr Mojica said that UnionDigital Bank looks to collaborate more closely with SSS counterparts moving forward. “UnionDigital Bank fully supports SSS in its digitalization and service delivery efforts and commits to cooperating in any way to achieve these goals,” Mojica said.
The meeting between UnionDigital Bank and SSS demonstrates earnest efforts to collaborate with companies and platforms to enhance online services for millions of SSS members, particularly Overseas Filipino Workers. PR
