A 28-year-old man is facing life imprisonment after being arrested on 40 counts of rape.
The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) identified the suspect, Russel (name withheld), a businessman from Brgy. Bago Oshiro, Davao City, as the Regional Level’s Top 3 Most Wanted Person.
Russel was apprehended at 10:35 p.m. on January 24, 2025, in Purok Sto. Niño, Mintal, Tugbok, Davao City, during the “Intelligence Packet Hubris” operation. He faces charges of Qualified Rape involving a minor, with no bail recommended by the court.
A warrant for his arrest was issued by Hon. Judge Glenn de Castro Aquino, Acting Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court 11th Judicial Region, Branch 33, on December 12, 2024.
The suspect is now in custody, awaiting further legal proceedings. JPC
