

THE University of Mindanao-Davao, College of Legal Education (UM-CLE) made history again as its student, Jojo S. Macadine, ranked eighth in the September 2024 Bar Examinations, announced on December 13. Macadine is the only Bar exam taker from the Davao Region to make the list, with an average of 83.7450 percent.
Kyle Christian Tutor, a graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Law, secured the top spot with an overall rating of 85.7700 percent.
The Supreme Court (SC) reported that 10,490 out of 10,504 applicants completed all three days of the 2024 Bar Examinations, held on September 8, 11, and 15. At least 3,962 examinees passed, representing 37.84 percent of those who completed the exam. This is an increase from the 3,812 passers in 2023.
UM-CLE's last topnotcher was lawyer Denise Christine Lim, CPA, who achieved exemplary performance in the 2022 Bar Exams with a score above 85 percent. DEF
