

A DABAWRNYO graduate ranked eighth in the December 2024 Civil Engineering Licensure Examination (CELE).
Peter Gino Abales Pangapalan, a graduate of the University of Mindanao (UM), earned a rating of 91.50 percent.
UM's College of Engineering Education achieved a 60.26 percent passing rate for first-time takers, surpassing the national passing rate of 37.07 percent. Its overall passing rate stood at 52.10 percent.
"Congratulations to all BS Civil Engineering students at the University of Mindanao for successfully passing the November and December 2024 Civil Engineers Licensure Examination," UM announced on Facebook on Thursday morning, December 5, 2024.
Leading the December 2024 CELE is Francis Charles P. Lauta of the University of Cebu, achieving the highest score of 93.25 percent.
Following closely in second place is Josh Andrew M. Martija from the University of the Philippines Diliman (92.50) percent.
Bernard Bonin A. Flores of Pangasinan State University-Urdaneta secured third place with 92.25 percent. Sharing the fourth spot are Jomari D. Abordo of the University of Nueva Caceres, Jason T. Bordas of Southern Leyte State University-Sogod, Craig William A. Ferrer of Saint Louis University, and Jasper Al D. Marcos of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Main Sta. Mesa, each with a score of 92.20 percent.
In fifth place is Jeriko Emmanuel G. Ordan of the University of Santo Tomas, earning a commendable 92.15 percent.
In sixth place are Cherry Red R. Marcuap (UP Diliman) and Steven Royce A. Zeng (De La Salle University-Manila) with 92.05 percent.
Seventh place went to Augustine John A. Aguilar (Western Mindanao State University-Zamboanga City) with 91.55 percent.
Eighth place was shared by JF Nichols G. Cortez (University of Santo Tomas), Anthony Y. Enguito (Central Mindanao University), Rodolfo G. Miss Jr. (University of San Carlos), and Pangapalan (UM) with 91.50 percent.
Ninth place included Daniel Ivan A. Cenidoza (University of Santo Tomas) and Chad Alester C. Lozano (Holy Angel University) with 91.45 percent.
Tenth place was a tie among eight examinees: Joash Normie A. Duldulao (Mariano Marcos State University-Batac), Lorenzo Rafael A. Langbid (University of San Carlos), John David J. Maguate (Cebu Institute of Technology-University), Isabella G. Martinez (Foreign University), John Russel S. Miguel (Saint Mary’s University), Gabriel A. Pineda (Bicol University-Legazpi), Joan Chloe U. Tan (UP Diliman), and Archelaus Tom R. Zarsuelo (Technological Institute of the Philippines-Quezon City) with 91.15 percent.
According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), out of 18,436 examinees, only 6,835 passed the December 2024 CELE. The examinations were conducted in 18 testing centers across the Philippines in November and December 2024. RGP
