
A total of 137 wanted persons were arrested across Western Visayas during a 15-day manhunt operation conducted by the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6) from June 1 to 15, 2025.
Of the total arrests, 34 were tagged as most wanted persons (MWPs), while 103 were listed as other wanted persons (OWPs).
The operations were carried out by different police units in the region, including the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (Ippo), Aklan Police Provincial Office (Akppo), Iloilo City Police Office (Icpo), Antique Police Provincial Office (Antppo), Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO), Guimaras Police Provincial Office (GPPO), and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Regional Field Unit in Western Visayas (CIDG – RFU 6).
Police Brigadier General Jack Wanky, director of PRO 6, praised the successful operations of tracker teams in the region.
“These accomplishments reflect the dedication and unwavering commitment of our personnel in bringing fugitives to the court of laws," Wanky said.
He said the community's active support enabled the locations and arrests of these individuals through vital information.
The Ippo led the arrest of MWPs with 18, followed by the Akppo with seven; Icpo with five; Antppo with two; CPPO with one; and the CIDG – RFU 6 with one.
In the arrest of OWPs, the Ippo again topped the list with 53 arrests. This was followed by the Antppo with 20; CPPO with 10; Akppo with nine; Icpo with seven; and GPPO with four.
The Ippo made the highest number of arrests overall with 71, or 51.82 percent of the total, showcasing its intensified law enforcement efforts.
