The celebration, held under the theme “Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Ang Gusto ng Pulis, Ligtas Ka,” was led by Police Colonel Bayani M. Razalan, director of the IPPO, with Iloilo Vice Governor Nathalie Ann F. Debuque as guest of honor and speaker.
In her speech, Debuque commended the IPPO for its sustained efforts in fostering community partnerships and enhancing public trust.
“Peace and order is not solely the responsibility of the police—it’s a shared concern for everyone,” Debuque said, underscoring the importance of collaboration in ensuring community security and development.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Arnel M. Solis, force commander of the 1st Iloilo PMFC, received the award on behalf of his unit.
“This award is a tangible testament to the collective efforts of all the members of the 1st Iloilo PMFC,” Solis said. “It also serves as a reminder that no act of kindness and community engagement goes unnoticed. Each effort contributes to strengthening the foundation of peace and order, security and safety.”
Observed every July by virtue of Presidential Proclamation 764, series of 1996, Police Community Relations Month aims to reinforce the collaboration between the Philippine National Police and the community in promoting peace and public safety. (Leo Solinap/SunStar Philippines)
