THE Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6) arrested 205 wanted persons during 203 manhunt operations conducted across the region throughout May 2025.

Of those arrested, 36 were classified as most wanted persons (MWPs), including four at the regional level, four at the provincial level, and 28 at the municipal level. The remaining 169 were tagged as other wanted persons (OWPs), police said.

Police Brigadier General Jack Wanky, director of PRO 6, praised the success of the operations.

"These accomplishments were the results of strengthened collaborative efforts between the police, the community, and other law enforcement agencies," he said.

Wanky stated that despite the success, the relentless pursuit of arresting the remaining wanted persons in the region will continue.
