
WESTERN Visayas police arrested 21 drug suspects, including six high-value individuals, during weeklong anti-drug operations from June 21 to 27, 2025.
Officers seized approximately 552 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P3.7 million.
Police Brigadier General Josefino Ligan, director of the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6), commended the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) and its operational units for their success.
"We congratulate everyone, especially our personnel on the ground, for the hard work and commitment shown in coordination with various stakeholders. These accomplishments are a testament to your dedication," Ligan stated.
Ligan affirmed that individuals involved in illegal drug activities will remain under constant monitoring and will face further law enforcement operations as necessary.
Of those apprehended, six were classified as high-value individuals, while 15 were street-level individuals.
All suspects face charges for violating Republic Act (RA) 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
