POLICE arrested the province’s third most wanted person (MWP) for online sexual exploitation of children during an operation in Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, Lambunao, Iloilo at 5:27 p.m. on July 24, 2025.
Police Brigadier General Jose Ligan, director of the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6), praised the joint team for the successful arrest.
“I commend the outstanding efforts of our operating units for the successful arrest of one of the most wanted persons in the province," Ligan said.
Ligan praised the dedication and coordination of the personnel in their continuous pursuit of justice and public safety for this accomplishment.
The suspect, identified as alias Pat, 27, and a resident of Lambunao, was apprehended by personnel of the Lambunao Municipal Police Station (MPS) and the 602nd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion in Western Visayas (RMFB 6).
Pat was arrested on the strength of a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court in Janiuay, Iloilo on October 10, 2024, for violation of Republic Act (RA) 11930 or the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act of 2022.
No bail was recommended.
