

THE Iloilo City Police Office (Icpo) arrested four high-value drug suspects and seized approximately 130 grams of shabu worth P884,000 in two separate buy-bust operations on July 23, 2025.
Around 9:45 p.m., operatives from Iloilo City Police Station (ICPS) 2 arrested a suspect identified as alias Nonoy, 45, a freelance electrician, in Zone 3, Barangay Railway, La Paz, District.
Police seized about 50 grams of suspected shabu valued at P340,000, along with seven heat-sealed plastic sachets, buy-bust money, and various non-drug items.
Roughly 20 minutes later, at 10:04 p.m., the Icpo Drug Enforcement Unit and ICPS 4 conducted another buy-bust operation in Zone 6, Barangay Boulevard, Molo, District.
Three suspects were arrested: alias Brando, 41, a laborer; alias Suzette, 50, a cook; and alias Kanig, 24, jobless — all residents of Molo District.
Police recovered around 80 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P544,000, fifteen plastic sachets, buy-bust money, and several non-drug items.
Arrested individuals face charges of violating Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police Brigadier General Josefino Ligan, director of the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6), lauded the operatives for their commitment.
