THE Balasan Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested alias Del, the fourth most wanted person (MWP) in Iloilo Province in Barangay Tinagacan, General Santos City, South Cotabato at 4:30 p.m. on June 18, 2025.
Police Colonel Roland Bulalacao, officer-in-charge of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (Ippo), commended the Balasan MPS for the successful arrest.
“The Ippo stands unyielding in its vital mission: not only to keep our communities safe, but to relentlessly pursue justice for every victim and their grieving loved ones,” Bulalacao said.
Del, 59, widowed and a resident of Purok 4, Barangay Mamhut Norte, Balasan, Iloilo, was apprehended by the Balasan MPS Tracker Team led by Police Captain Renzo Martinez, officer-in-charge.
The arrest was made under a warrant issued on March 20, 2025, by the presiding judge of Branch 66, Regional Trial Court, 6th Judicial Region, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.
Del is facing the following charges:
– Rape by Carnal Knowledge (Article 266-A, Paragraph 1 in relation to Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code) – no bail recommended
– Violation of Section 5(b) of Republic Act (RA) 7610 (Child Abuse) – P200,000 bail
– Acts of Lasciviousness in relation to RA 7610 – P200,000 bail
Following his arrest, police officers informed Del of his rights under the Miranda Doctrine and the Anti-Torture Law. He is now in the custody of Balasan MPS for proper disposition and further legal proceedings. (Leo Solinap/SunStar Philippines)
