THE fourth most wanted person (MWP) in Iloilo province was arrested for rape by carnal knowledge during a police operation conducted in Barangay San Julian, Janiuay, Iloilo, at around 8:02 p.m. on July 10, 2025.
Police Brigadier General Josefino Ligan, acting regional director of the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6), commended the operatives for their swift action in apprehending the suspect.
“I commend our operating units for the successful arrest of the province’s top most wanted person. This accomplishment reflects the relentless efforts, seamless coordination, and unwavering dedication of our personnel and partner agencies," he said.
Ligan emphasized that the message sent to criminals and fugitives is that justice will prevail, and the law will eventually catch up with them. PRO 6 and its partners will continue to work tirelessly for community safety.
The suspect, identified as alias Frexis, 22, jobless, and a resident of Barangay Kuyot, Janiuay, Iloilo, was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest with no bail recommended. He is also listed as the top two most wanted person at the municipal level.
The arrest was carried out by personnel from the Janiuay Municipal Police Station (MPS), in coordination with the Provincial Special Operations Group (SOG) Team 2, the Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) – Provincial Intelligence Team (PIT) in Western Visayas, and the 603rd Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion in Western Visayas (RMFB 6).
The suspect is currently under the custody of the Janiuay MPS for the proper disposition of his case. (Leo Solinap/SunStar Philippines)
