THE tracker team of the Maasin Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested the fifth most wanted person in Iloilo province for rape by carnal knowledge during an operation in Barangay Punong, Maasin, Iloilo at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2025.

Police Colonel Bayani Razalan, director of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (Ippo), confirmed the arrest of the suspect, a 22-year-old single laborer, who was apprehended under a warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 76 in Janiuay, Iloilo.

(Your Ilonggo cops remain steadfast in their goal to apprehend those who evade the law. They want to make these people accountable for their crimes and give justice to their victims and their families. The arrest of this Top 5 Most Wanted Person in the province shows that there is no place for crime here in Iloilo. Your police force will continue to search for and pursue other fugitives so that they too can face our courts.)

The warrant of arrest, dated April 29, 2025, was issued for the charge of rape by carnal knowledge, citing Article 266-A, Paragraph 1 of the Revised Penal Code as amended by Republic Act 8353 in relation to Republic Act 7610.
