
THE Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6) recognized the Army’s 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division (3ID) for its significant role in maintaining peace and order during the 2025 Midterm National and Local Elections.
The award was presented during the flag ceremony on May 19, 2025, at the PRO 6 Multi-Purpose Hall, Camp General Martin Teofilo B. Delgado, Fort San Pedro in Iloilo City.
Brigadier General Nhel Richard Patricio, Commander of the 301st Infantry (Bayanihan) Brigade, accepted the award on behalf of the 3ID.
Major General Michael G. Samson, 3ID Commander, stated that this recognition highlights the strong partnership between the Philippine Army and the Philippine National Police (PNP) in protecting democratic integrity and ensuring safe elections.
He thanked PRO 6 for the honor and committed to close collaboration with the PNP, security partners, and communities in Western and Central Visayas, as well as the Negros Island Region, to ensure peace and stability in future elections.
Samson emphasized that the commendation demonstrates the 3ID's unwavering dedication to upholding the integrity of the electoral process. He also urged stakeholders from all sectors to strengthen collaboration in safeguarding democratic processes.
Samson stressed the importance of unity and shared responsibility for peaceful, secure, and representative future elections.
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) also received similar recognition from PRO 6 for its support in securing the elections.
The Philippine Army’s 3ID, based in Jamindan, Capiz, plays a key role in regional internal security operations and disaster response across Western and Central Visayas and the Negros Island Region.
