
A 24-YEAR-OLD high-value drug suspect was arrested by the Iloilo City Police Station (ICPS) 10 during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao District around 12:35 a.m. on July 2, 2025.
Police identified the suspect by the alias Agi, a resident of Iloilo City. The operation resulted in the confiscation of approximately 60 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of P408,000.
Recovered during the operation were four transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, buy-bust money, and various non-drug items.
The suspect is now at ICPS 10 and will be charged for violating Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police Brigadier General Josefino Ligan, acting director of the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6), commended the operating team for their swift action.
“I commend everyone for a job well done. Let’s continue giving our best, doing our work with dedication and always with a heart, providing the people of Western Visayas with the quality service they truly deserve,” Ligan said.
