

A HIGH-VALUE drug suspect was arrested in an anti-drug operation by the Dumangas Municipal Police Station (MPS) Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) in Sitio Nalu-oyan, Barangay Sapao, Dumangas, Iloilo at 8:50 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025.
Police identified the suspect as alias Vin-vin, 39, an engine mechanic from Cavite temporarily residing in the area. Authorities seized
approximately 260 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,768,000.
Iloilo Police Provincial Office (Ippo) Director Police Colonel Bayani Razalan praised the arresting team and warned drug dealers in Iloilo
Province to stop their operations or face the full force of the law.
"Our dedication to maintaining the safety and well-being of our community is unwavering," Razalan said.
Razalan commended the operating team's successful arrest of a high-profile drug offender and urges drug dealers, particularly in Iloilo Province, to cease operations immediately or face legal consequences.
The Ippo reaffirmed its commitment to a drug-free province.
“We will not rest until every drug dealer is brought to justice,” Razalan said.
Authorities had been monitoring Vin-vin for nearly a week following reports from concerned citizens.
Investigators found that he sourced illegal drugs from Manila and distributed them in Dumangas.
The suspect is currently detained at the Dumangas Municipal Police Station, facing charges of violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
