Ana, Estancia, Iloilo at 9:23 p.m. on July 23, 2025.
Police identified the suspect as alias Ferlyn, 22, female, and a resident of Purok 5, Barangay Bulaqueña, Estancia, Iloilo. She was arrested after selling a sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer.
Police Captain Rowena Garcia, deputy chief of Estancia MPS, led the operation that resulted in the confiscation of approximately 97 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P659,600.
The operation was the result of almost three months of intelligence gathering, triggered by a tip from a concerned citizen. Authorities said surveillance confirmed the suspect’s alleged involvement in illegal drug activities and her links to drug sources in Iloilo City.
Police Colonel Bayani M. Razalan, director of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (Ippo), praised the Estancia MPS for the successful operation and credited the community for its role in helping law enforcement address illegal drug activities.
“Ang away batok sa ilegal nga droga, obligasyon naton tanan, gani ululupod kita sa pagtapna sini para sa malinong kag matawhay nga probinsya sang Iloilo,” said Razalan.
(The fight against illegal drugs is the obligation of all of us, so let us work together to stop it for a peaceful and orderly province of Iloilo.)
