A 19-YEAR-OLD drug personality listed as a high-value individual (HVI) was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Mina Municipal Police Station (MPS) in Barangay Nasirum, Mina, Iloilo around 4:01 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2025.
The suspect, identified as alias Ronard, 19, single, and a resident of Barangay Golgota, Janiuay, Iloilo, was arrested after selling suspected illegal drugs to an undercover police operative.
Confiscated during the operation were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 85 grams, with an estimated street value of P578,000. Also seized were buy-bust money and other non-drug-related evidence.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Mina MPS and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police Brigadier General Josefino Ligan, regional director of the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6), commended the Mina MPS for the successful operation.
“This arrest of a high-value target signifies another win in our continuous campaign against illegal drugs. We remain committed to protecting the people of Western Visayas through strategic law enforcement operations," Ligan said.
