A HIGH-VALUE individual (HVI) involved in illegal drug activities was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Lemery Municipal Police Station (MPS) at NHA Pabahay, Barangay Dalipe, Lemery, Iloilo Thursday moring, July 17, 2025.
The suspect was identified as alias Bong-Bong, 47, male, a farmer, and a resident of Barangay Dapdapan, Lemery, Iloilo.
Police operatives seized seven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, weighing approximately 50 grams with a standard drug price (SDP) of P340,000.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Lemery MPS and will face charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police Brigadier General Josefino Ligan, regional director of the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6), commended the efforts of the Lemery MPS and emphasized the continued commitment of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to combat the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region.
