THE Iloilo City Police Office (Icpo) arrested 33 individuals, including seven classified as most wanted persons (MWPs), during its intensified campaign against wanted persons conducted from May 1 to 31, 2025.
Police Colonel Kim Legada, Icpo director, commended the tracker teams for their diligence in the month-long operation.
“Congratulations! This accomplishment reflects our strong commitment to justice and public safety,” Legada said.
“In line with the leadership direction of our new Chief PNP, Police General Nicolas D. Torre III — ‘Ang batas ay patas, ang serbisyo ay mabilis, at ang kapulisan ay karapat-dapat ng tiwala ng mamamayan’ — we will continue to deliver the quality of service the Filipino people truly deserve,” he added.
Of the 33 arrests, seven were MWPs and 26 were classified as other wanted persons (OWPs).
The successful arrests were distributed among the following units: Iloilo City Police Station (ICPS) 3 and the Iloilo City Mobile Force Company led with seven arrests each; ICPS 2 followed with four arrests; ICPS 1, ICPS 7, and ICPS 9 each reported three arrests; ICPS 4 and ICPS 8 made two arrests each; and ICPS 5 and ICPS 6 recorded one arrest each.
The Icpo, under the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas, remains committed to maintaining peace and order by pursuing individuals with outstanding warrants and bringing them to justice.
The month-long operation demonstrates a coordinated effort among all city police units to ensure public safety and uphold the rule of law. (Leo Solinap)
