ILOILO City Police Office (Icpo) received 30 mobile phone units from the Iloilo City Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (Icag-PTD) to enhance communication and coordination in police operations on August 11, 2025.

The turnover took place during the Monday flag-raising ceremony at Camp Achilles D. Plagata, Icpo Headquarters, General Luna Street, City Proper District, Iloilo City.

Lieutenant Colonel Lorenez Losaria, deputy city director for operations of Icpo, and Non-Uniformed Personnel Ma. Myla C. Gustilo, city supply accountable officer, accepted the donation on behalf of Police Colonel Kim Legada, city director of Icpo.

“These donated items are essential in helping us serve the residents and visitors of Iloilo City better. Rest assured, these will be well taken care of and will be repaid through our continued commitment to providing excellent police service to the community,” Losaria said.

The allocation of the mobile units was as follows: Iloilo City Police Stations (ICPS) 1 to 10 – two units each; Iloilo City Mobile Force Company (ICMFC) – two units; drone operators – two units; Mobile Patrol Unit (MPU) – three units; City Tactical and Operations Center (CTOC) – one unit; and two units reserved for operational needs.

Present during the turnover were Icag-PTD members Dr. Richard Lee Martin Sr. (religious sector), Myeongsu “Mike” Lee (NGO sector), Ma. Ann Parcon (women’s sector), and Nelson Jardeleza (senior citizen sector).

Icpo said the support would strengthen public trust and confidence, foster partnerships with stakeholders, and further the office’s mission to serve and protect the community. (Leo Solinap/SunStar Philippines)
