THE Iloilo Police Provincial Office (Ippo) arrested the second most wanted person (MWP) in Iloilo province for three counts of rape in Barangay Nabitas, Panay, Capiz, around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
The suspect, identified as alias Glen, of legal age, a resident of Barangay Bania, Roxas City, was arrested based on a warrant of arrest for three counts of rape, with no bail recommended.
Police Brigadier General Jack Wanky, director of the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6), commended the joint effort of law enforcement units that led to the successful arrest.
"This accomplishment highlights our commitment in the campaign against wanted persons. Even if they are hiding, we keep on pursuing to keep them answerable for the offenses they’ve committed," Wanky said.
The operation was led by Pototan Municipal Police Station and supported by Panay MPS and the Regional Intelligence Unit in Western Visayas.
The suspect is now in police custody and will be turned over to the court of jurisdiction. (Leo Solinap)
