THE Provincial Government of Antique announced Thursday, April 16, three additional cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the province.
In a statement, the Province said the three new patients are all residents of Cebu City.
The three arrived in Semirara Island last March 12 and all of them are coworkers of the province's first confirmed case.
"We received the official result from the Department of Health Center for Development VI (Western Visayas) confirming the case as positive for Covid-19," said Governor Rhodora Cadiao in a statement.
She added that all the new cases are asymptomatic, in stable condition, and in isolation in Semirara Island.
She assured that the local government unit of Semirara and other stakeholders were already appraised and are coordinating with the Provincial Government.
"These new cases are part of the contact tracing activities done after the first case was identified," she said, adding that continued contact tracing and testing activities are being done. (LMY/With reports from Leo Solinap)
