Iloilo City Isat U alumni place 1st, 4th in electronics board exam

TWO graduates from Iloilo City topped the latest electronics engineering and electronics technician board examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

Joshua Aniken Garcia Acusta, a graduate of Iloilo Science and Technology University (Isat U) main campus, topped the Electronics Engineering (ECE) Licensure Examination with an 88.60 percent rating.

A total of 983 of the 2,935 examinees (33.49 percent) passed.

Meanwhile, Dante John Sudario Robles, another Isat U main campus graduate, ranked fourth in the Electronics Technician Licensure Examination (ECT) with an 87 percent grade.

The PRC said on Wednesday that 1,641 out of 2,227 people (73.69 percent) passed the ECT.

Acusta and Robles' successes are a source of pride for their university and the City of Iloilo.

Both join the ranks of successful Isat U alumni who have also topped board exams in numerous professions.

The university has routinely produced graduates who excel in a variety of sectors, and this new achievement only adds to its place as the region's best science and technology university.

The ECE board exam was held from April 19 to 20, and the ECT board exam on April 21, 2023, in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga and Palawan. (SunStar Philippines)
