A MULTI-PURPOSE teen center aimed at offering necessary amenities and services for teenagers has opened at Luca National High School in Ajuy, Iloilo on Friday, June 9, 2023.
The Dream Hub, a multifunctional facility for teenagers, serves as the 97th of its kind in the province, offering students a comprehensive center that provides a wide range of essential services.
Features of Dream Hub include a school clinic, staffed by a nursing graduate who also serves as a teacher, a guidance office, a counseling room, and a dedicated gender and development office.
The center was also given P500,000 and is furnished with tools required to create a favorable learning environment.
The facility strives to enhance students' physical, mental and emotional well-being.
During the project's launch, Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. expressed his delight and emphasized the importance of providing children with comprehensive and readily accessible resources.
He also praised the cooperative efforts of the provincial population office, the local administration and educational institutions in realizing this aim.
The ceremony was also attended by Ajuy Mayor Jett Rojas, Fifth District Board Member Carol Espinosa-Diaz and Provincial Population Office Chief Atty. Ruel Von Superio, as well as school administrators Jun Bactan and Exie Boces. (SunStar Philippines)
