ILOILO City Mayor Raisa Treñas reaffirmed her support for the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6) as she attended its weekly flag-raising ceremony on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Camp General Martin Teofilo B. Delgado, Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City.
Treñas was the guest of honor and speaker at the event, where she recognized the unwavering dedication and public service of PRO 6 personnel.
“It is my honor to stand before you today. Your unwavering service continue to bring safety and peace to Western Visayas. Salamat gid sa inyo pangpanikusog,” she said in her address.
She also underscored the significance of strong collaboration between law enforcement and the local government in achieving sustainable peace and development.
“Under my watch, we will never allow Iloilo City to be shouldered by illegal drugs again. We are determined to keep our city drug-free and secure. Let’s continue to build a strong partnership kay kung isa lang ang aton direction, we can build a safe and orderly progressive Iloilo,” Treñas added.
One of the event highlights was the awarding of outstanding police personnel for exemplary performance in the line of duty.
Treñas personally conferred the Medalya ng Kagalingan to four awardees: Police Captain Melchor A. Tolentino and Patrolman Jerome R. Ordoñez of the Iloilo City Police Station 1 under the Iloilo City Police Office, and Police Lieutenant Colonel Conrado S. Rances III and Police Corporal Julius B. Toledo of the 1st Antique Provincial Mobile Force Company under the Antique Police Provincial Office.
The ceremony concluded with a shared commitment to reinforce efforts in promoting peace and public safety across Western Visayas.
The activity was also attended by the PRO 6 Command Group, Regional and Personal Staff, Chiefs of National Support Units, and other personnel. (Leo Solinap)
