
AUTHORITIES arrested the ninth most wanted person in the province of Capiz for human trafficking and online sexual exploitation in Pueblo de Panay, Barangay Lawaan, Roxas City, Capiz, at 11:48 a.m. on March 19, 2025.
Police Regional Office (PRO 6) in Western Visayas Director Brigadier General Jack Wanky assured that PRO 6 will continue to collaborate with various stakeholders to locate and arrest fugitives.
“This successful operation reflects our personnel’s patience, diligence, and commitment to bringing wanted persons in the region before the courts,” Wanky said.
The suspect, identified as Ferly, 31, an unemployed resident of Barangay Libas, Roxas City, was apprehended based on a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court in Roxas City.
She faces charges for violating Section 4 of Republic Act 11862, the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2022, and Section 4 of Republic Act 11930, the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials Act.
The court set her bail at P200,000 for each case.
The Roxas City Police Station (CCPS), with support from the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) – Intelligence Unit and the Women and Children Protection – Visayas Field Unit, carried out the arrest.
