THREE separate anti-drug operations in Iloilo province led to the arrest of five suspects, including two identified as high-value individuals (HVIs), and the confiscation of an estimated P782,000 worth of substance believed to be shabu and two firearms.

In Jaro District, Iloilo City, a 25-year-old e-bike driver, alias Bado, was arrested on August 4, 2025, in Sitio Taal, Barangay Tabuc Suba.

Police seized approximately 55 grams of shabu valued at P374,000 during the operation led by the Police Drug Enforcement Group - Special Operations Unit 6, in coordination with local police and intelligence units.

The following day, August 5, police arrested another suspected HVI, alias Boning, 31, in Barangay Poblacion, Leganes.

He was caught with around 59 grams of shabu worth P340,000 and a loaded .38 revolver.

The operation was conducted by the Leganes Municipal Police Station after a week of surveillance.

Also on August 5, three suspects were arrested in Barangay Talokgangan, Banate, including another newly identified HVI, alias Toto, 38, a local government casual employee previously linked to a frustrated murder case.

He and two others were caught with about 10 grams of shabu worth P68,000 and a caliber .40 pistol.

Police said Toto was allegedly distributing drugs in Banate and sourcing them from a nearby town.
