THE Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6) apprehended 17 wanted individuals during a 24-hour region-wide manhunt operation, including five most wanted persons at provincial, city, and station levels from 6 a.m. on July 22 to 6 a.m. on July 23, 2025.

Police Brigadier General Josefino Ligan, regional director of PRO 6, said the arrests demonstrate the organization's commitment to pursuing justice and maintaining peace and order throughout the region.

"We are sending a clear message — no one is above the law. These arrests show that PRO 6 is serious in our pursuit of justice. We will not stop until all fugitives are held accountable. Our people deserve to live in a community free from the threats posed by those who try to evade justice," Ligan said.

Among the arrested suspects, five were classified as most wanted persons, with three listed at the provincial and city level and two at the station level. The remaining 12 individuals were categorized as other wanted persons by law enforcement authorities.

The coordinated operations were conducted across PRO 6 as part of an intensified campaign against wanted individuals under its continuing efforts to uphold the rule of law throughout the region.

Ligan commended the operating units for their relentless efforts in tracking down and arresting the wanted individuals during the comprehensive manhunt operations.

The regional director emphasized that law enforcement agencies will continue pursuing fugitives until they are held accountable for their alleged crimes.
