

OPERATIVES of the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6) arrested the fourth Provincial and second Municipal Most Wanted Person (MWP) in Barangay Caidquid, Mambusao, Capiz, by virtue of a warrant for qualified rape at around 8:45 p.m. on March 31, 2026.
Police Brigadier General Josefino Ligan, regional director of PRO 6, commended the arresting unit, saying, “The arrest of this most wanted person underscores our relentless effort to bring offenders to justice. We will continue to intensify our operations to ensure that those who commit serious crimes are held accountable.”
The suspect, identified as alias Nonoy, 70, a farmer and resident of Barangay Caidquid, Mambusao, Capiz, was arrested by operatives of the Municipal Police Station (MPS) in Mambusao. He was apprehended under a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, 6th Judicial Region, Branch 20, Mambusao, Capiz.
Police said the suspect is facing a non-bailable charge of qualified rape under Articles 266-A and 266-B of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act (RA) 11648.
Authorities added that the operation is part of PRO 6’s intensified campaign against wanted persons, particularly those facing serious criminal charges.
The suspect is now in police custody for proper disposition and will be presented before the court that issued the warrant. (Leo Solinap)
