
THE Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6), led by Police Brigadier General Jack Wanky, recognized four police officers for their exemplary performance during the flag-raising and awarding ceremonies held at the PRO 6 Multi-purpose Hall in Iloilo City on April 21, 2025.
Wanky expressed gratitude to local government units, agencies, barangay officials, rescue groups, and force multipliers for their selfless services in ensuring a safe, peaceful, and orderly 2025 Lenten celebration.
“May this feat continue as we strive to maintain a safer Western Visayas conducive to live, invest and do business,” he said.
Awarded the Philippine National Police Heroism Medal or Medalya ng Kadakilaan were Police Captain Benjie Dicen and Police Master Sergeant Argie Salafrania of the Iloilo City Police Office (Icpo) for their successful anti-illegal drug operation.
Police Major Oman Bryndell Estabillo and Police Corporal Daryl Lozarita of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion in Western Visayas (RMFB 6) were recognized for the successful implementation of a search warrant related to Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, in the first week of April 2025.
In the same event, various Information and Communication Technology (ICT) equipment were distributed to selected offices based at the PRO 6 regional headquarters.
Wanky reminded the heads of the recipient offices to properly manage and take care of the newly acquired assets.
He also extended his congratulations to the awardees for their dedication and performance, and commended all PRO 6 personnel and stakeholders for ensuring a peaceful observance of Holy Week. (Leo Solinap)
