THE Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6) recognized four police officers for their outstanding performance in anti-illegal drug operations during its flag-raising and awarding ceremonies Monday, June 23, 2025.
Police Brigadier General Josefino Ligan, newly installed regional director of PRO 6, led the ceremony and personally pinned the medals and handed plaques of appreciation to awardees.
“The work of the police is to prevent and control crimes, maintain peace and order, ensure public safety and internal security with the active support of the community,” Ligan said.
Ligan said the work of a police officer involves detecting and capturing criminals, emphasizing the importance of doing it with a heart, as it brings joy and happiness.
He also urged all personnel to fully support the program thrusts of Philippine National Police Chief General Nicolas Torre III.
