THE Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6) welcomed the director, co-director, and selected cast members of the upcoming action-drama film Beyond the Call of Duty during a promotional courtesy visit at Camp Martin Delgado on July 1, 2025.

Director Jose “JR” Olinares and co-director Billy Oyanib led the delegation, accompanied by cast members Robert Vincent Sy, Lance Lucido, and Tyke Sanchez.

The group was received by Police Colonel Victorino E. Romanillos Jr., chief of the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division, together with officers and personnel of PRO 6.

Police Brigadier General Josefino D. Ligan, regional director of PRO 6, expressed his gratitude to the filmmakers for showcasing the sacrifice and heroism of police officers through cinema.

“This film is a powerful reminder of what it means to serve with integrity, courage, and compassion,” Ligan said. “By telling the stories of our police officers, you are also helping bridge the gap between the uniform and the community. We thank you for honoring our profession through this medium.”

During the visit, the film team presented the trailer of Beyond the Call of Duty, which aims to highlight the real-life stories of courage, service, and sacrifice of police officers. The film serves as a tribute to the law enforcement profession, focusing on the values that guide police work beyond the badge.

As part of the event, PRO 6 showcased a live simulation of its 5-minute police response capability — a regional program aligned with the directive of Chief of the Philippine National Police, Police General Nicolas D. Torre III. The exercise demonstrated the quick response capacity of the unit, successfully completed in under five minutes.

Ligan also shared the core programs and milestones of PRO 6, including efforts toward modernization, enhanced professional development, and sustained community engagement. He emphasized the Philippine National Police’s leadership thrusts of unity and morale within the ranks, accountability, and modernization as central to the institution’s ongoing transformation.

The visit concluded with a message of mutual support between the film’s creative team and the police leadership, reflecting shared values of public service and patriotism. (Leo Solinap/SunStar Philippines)
