THE Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6) conducted 22 anti-drug operations across the region, seized 2,392 grams of substance believed to be shabu valued at P16,270,000, and arrested 25 individuals from March 10 to 11, 2025.
Among those arrested, eight were classified as high-value individuals (HVIs), while 17 were street-level individuals (SLIs). The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) conducted the largest operations.
PRO 6 Director Brigadier General Jack Wanky pledged to remain relentless in the pursuit of eradicating the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region.
“These arrests are the result of the collaborative and well-coordinated efforts of the community, other law enforcement agencies, and local government units,” Wanky said.
The largest seizure occurred on March 10, 2025, at 8:40 p.m. in Barangay Kinalkalan, Balasan, Iloilo, where authorities confiscated approximately 890 grams of suspected shabu worth P6,052,000 from an individual identified as alias Jopet.
This was followed by another operation in Barangay Bulaqueña, Estancia, Iloilo, which resulted in the confiscation of around 1,120 grams of suspected shabu valued at P7,616,000 from two high-value suspects: alias Adnan (or Brother) and his live-in partner, alias Rogielyn (or Lyn).
