POLICE arrested the region’s ninth most wanted person for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act in Barangay San Pedro, Molo District, Iloilo City, around 9:25 a.m. on August 8, 2025.
Police Brigadier General Josefino Ligan, regional director of the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6), commended the ICPS 4 team for their swift action.
“I commend the operating team for their swift action that led to the successful arrest of a wanted individual involved in the illegal possession of firearms," he said.
Ligan urged the public to continue supporting the region's safety and security for future generations.
Elements of Iloilo City Police Station (ICPS) 4 identified the suspect as alias Chris, 36, unemployed, and a resident of Iloilo City. He is also listed as the second most wanted person at the station level and fourth at the city level.
The arrest was made by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the 6th Judicial Region on August 6, 2025, for violation of Article V, Section 28(A) in relation to Section 28(E-1) of Republic Act (RA) 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act of 2013.
The bail for his temporary liberty was set at P120,000. The suspect is currently in the custody of ICPS 4. (Leo Solinap)
