
THE Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6), led by Regional Director Police Brigadier General Jack Wanky, turned over 226 desktop computer sets, nine tablets, and one police vehicle during a blessing and ceremonial handover at Camp General Martin Teofilo B. Delgado, Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City on June 9, 2025.
In a message delivered by Police Colonel Roland Bulalacao, officer-in-charge of the Office of the Deputy Regional Director, Wanky emphasized proper use and maintenance of the newly acquired assets. “Personnel carrier and ICT equipment have corresponding useful life spans. But if they are properly taken care of, they could be useful beyond their limits,” Wanky said.
He also reminded recipients to “use them according to purpose, keep them in their best form, and be responsible stewards of these government properties.”
The equipment and vehicle were provided by the Philippine National Police National (PNP) Headquarters and were distributed among the following PRO 6 units:
- Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) – 55 desktop computers, one tablet
- Iloilo Police Provincial Office (Ippo) – 55 desktop computers, one tablet
- Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) – 23 desktop computers, one tablet
- Antique Police Provincial Office (Antppo) – 23 desktop computers, one tablet
- Aklan Police Provincial Office (Akppo) – 23 desktop computers, one tablet
- Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) – 23 desktop computers, one tablet
- Iloilo City Police Office (Icpo) – 15 desktop computers, one tablet
- Guimaras Police Provincial Office (GPPO) – eight desktop computers, one tablet
- PRO 6 Regional Headquarters – one desktop computer, one tablet
Additionally, one 4x4 personnel carrier pick-up was issued to the Leganes Municipal Police Station, under the Iloilo Police Provincial Office, to strengthen its mobility and field response.
In total, the PRO 6 distributing 226 desktop computers, nine tablets, and one 4x4 personnel carrier pick-up to police units across the region. The equipment, provided by the PNP National Headquarters, was allocated to boost efficiency and operations in provincial, city, and municipal police offices.
