THE Iloilo City Mobile Force Company arrested Western Visayas’ top most wanted person for murder during the service of a warrant of arrest in Barangay Model, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan at 12:20 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2025.
Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6) Director Police Brigadier General Jack Wanky commended the units involved in the operation.
"We commend the coordinated and collaborative effort of our police and the community that resulted in this significant accomplishment. Rest assured that our campaign against wanted persons in the region will be relentlessly pursued and brought them before the courts of law," Wanky said.
The accused, identified as Ren-Ren alias Maik, 35, laborer, and a resident of Zone 2, Barangay San Juan, Molo District, Iloilo City, and temporarily residing in Barangay Rio Tuba, Bataraza, Palawan, was apprehended based on a warrant of arrest for murder issued by the Regional Trial Court in Iloilo City on May 17, 2022. No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.
The operation was conducted with the support of Puerto Princesa City Police Office Station 1, Iloilo City Police Station 4, City Intelligence Unit, Regional Intelligence Unit in Western Visayas, and the 62nd Special Action Force (SAF)-65th Alpha Battalion of the Philippine National Police Special Action Force (PNP-SAF).
The suspect is now under police custody and will be turned over to the court concerned for proper disposition. (Leo Solinap)
